All awards and jury members at a glance!

The WEMW 2018 final line-up includes 11 fiction feature films and 10 documentaries selected amongst 287 applications from 43 territories. The WEMW 2018 jury, including Benjamn Illos (Quinzaine des Réalisateurs – France), Petri Kemppinen (Nordisk Film & TV Fond – Norway), Riina Sildos (Amrion – Estonia) and Mila Turajlic (Dribbling Pictures – Serbia) will deliver the Cannes Producers Network Prize (free accreditation to the Cannes Marche du Film Producer’s Network for one documentary and one fiction WEMW selected producer, the Hot Docs Industry Pass (free access to the Market programs and events), the Flow Postproduction Award (prize of 10.000 EUR in post-production facilities) and the Film Center Serbia Development Award (cash prize of 3.000 EUR). The other 4 awards (EAVE European Producers Workshop scholarship, Asterisk Visual Marketing Award, EWA Best Woman Director Award and Baltic Award) will be delivered directly by our partners.

LST will present seven creative documentaries in advanced editing stage (fine cut) previously developed at one of the partner platforms Ex-Oriente Film, BDC Discoveries by Balkan Documentary Center, Docu Rough Cut Boutique at Sarajevo Film Festival or presented at the previous editions of Baltic Sea Docs, ZagrebDox PRO and When East Meets West. The LST international jury composed by Sabine Bubeck-Paaz (ZDF/ARTE – Germany), Ryan Harrington (Hot Docs – Canada) and Esther Van Messel (First Hand Films – Switzerland) will deliver the HBO Europe Award and the Flow DigitalCinema Award.

WEMW and Trieste Film Festival expand their initiatives targeting projects in post-production phase and launch This is IT, a new section exclusively dedicated to long feature fiction films produced or coproduced by Italian producers. 6 Selected teams will have the chance to present their works to an exclusive panel of more than 40 international sales agents, festival programmers and buyers. The international jury including Rémi Bonhomme (Semaine de la  Critique – France), Gabor Greiner (Films Boutique – Germany) and Iole Maria Giannattasio (DG Cinema MiBACT – Italy) will deliver the LASER FILM Award.
